The Spurs have wrapped up the best record in the Western Conference and they are heading into the playoffs pretty hot, as they have won their last 3 games. The Jazz will not be making the post-season and they have lost 9 of their last 10 games, but they may have some betting value in this game. Utah will likely be big underdogs, but there is a chance that the Spurs will rest some of their key players.

In their last games the Spurs crushed the Sacramento Kings 124-92 on Wednesday night while the Jazz lost to the Portland Trailblazers 98-87 on Thursday night.

The Spurs are not only a better team over all, but they are a much better betting team at 44-33-2 ATS while the Jazz are only 32-45-2 ATS. While the road team has covered the spread in 4 of the last 5 games between these 2 teams the Jazz have only covered the spread twice in their last 12 games in San Antonio.

This season the Spurs are 35-5 at home and the Jazz are 17-22 on the road.

The Spurs have won both games against the Jazz this season.

Tim Duncan (13.4 ppg 9 rpg) has come back from an ankle injury that sidelined him for several games, but will he play in this game? The Jazz hope he does not since they only rank 26th in the league in rebounds per game.

One of the reasons that the Jazz have been losing is that their whole roster is banged up and for this game Andrei Kirilenko, Raja Bell, and Francisco Elson are all questionable.

The Jazz do not have anything to play for and because of that it makes them dangerous, especially as a pretty big underdog. Utah can score and they will need good games from Al Jefferson (18.7 ppg), Paul Millsap (17.4 ppg), and Devin Harris (15.4 ppg) and if these guys do not have a good game on offense the Jazz will fall again since they only rank 19th in the league in opponents’ points allowed.

Besides Duncan possibly not playing will Manu Ginobili (17.7 ppg) or Tony Parker (17.7 ppg) log big minutes? For the Spurs to go deep in the playoffs they will need this trio to be 100% healthy, so I see them sitting a lot in this game. With these guys on the bench the role players will have to play well for the Spurs to win.

In some betting trends for this Western Conference match up:

Utah is 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 games following a SU loss of more than 10 points and has an Under record of 6-0 in their last 6 games.

San Antonio is 4-9 ATS in their last 13 home games, 11-5 ATS in their last 16 games against teams with a losing SU record, and has an Over record of 4-0 in their last 4 home games.

Our Selection : Utah hasn't been scoring as of late and Under bettors have been cashing in with 6 straight unders. Make it 7 after tonight.
