Opening Betting Lines: Lakers +2.5 / Jazz -2.5 O/U 207
Time: 10:30 PM EST Monday May 10, 2010 on TNT
The Lakers lead this best of 7 series 3-0.
No team has ever come back from being down 3-0 to win a series and the Jazz will try to make history by doing that and have to start by winning Game 4 tonight when they host the L.A. Lakers. The Jazz played well in Game 3 forcing the Lakers to beat them from outside, but they could not stop the Lakers from making key buckets late while the Jazz could not score on 2 shots in the closing seconds.
This season the Jazz were 32-9 at home and 49-30-3 ATS and the Lakers were 23-18 on the road and 34-46-2 ATS.
The Lakers won Game 3 in Utah on Saturday night 111-110.
The Lakers only had 32 points in the plaint, but they shot lights out from outside and not only hit on almost 45% if their 3-pointers, but they hit a couple of them late in the 4th quarter.
Carlos Boozer had 14 boards, but he needs to give the Jazz more scoring tonight after only scoring 14 points on 7/16 shooting in Game 3.
Tonight the Lakers will try to complete the sweep on the road where they have won 2 straight playoff games.
Every Lakers' starter shot over 50% from the field in Game 3 with the exception of Andrew Bynum missing the only shot he took in the game.
The Jazz had more rebounds in Game 3, but they really need to do a better job on Pau Gasol on the boards, who grabbed 17 rebounds in the game.
Utah has lost to the Lakers in the last 2 seasons in the playoffs and they can put off making it 3 straight for a little while longer, at least, with a win tonight.
The Lakers have been great at closing out series' when they have the opportunity. The Jazz have simply not found a way to beat the Lakers, as L.A. has won with inside play in the first couple of games and then with outside play in Game 3.
Betting Trends
L.A. is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games, 6-2 ATS in their last 8 playoff games as an underdog, and has an Over record of 6-1 in their last 7 games.
Utah is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games against teams with a winning road record, 18-7-2 ATS in their last 27 games as a home favorite, and has an Over record of 6-0 in their last 6 games.
L.A. is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games against Utah.
Our Selection : The Jazz did win the rebound battle in their 1 point loss in Game 3 which usually results in a W when playing the Lakers. I think that they'll be tough on the borads once again tonight and reverse the result. Take the Jazz -2.5 at SportsInteraction.
Dallas Mavericks at Miami Heat Odds 6-12
The Mavs are up 3-2 in this series heading to South Beach and for the Heat to force Game 7 they will have to play better in the 4th quarter, especially LeBron James. 5Dimes has the hometown Heat as 5-point favorites in Game 6 with a total of 187.
