Opening Line: Purdue +3.5 / Ohio State -3.5 O/U 133.5

Time: 6:30 PM EST February 17, 2010

Tonight in a Big 10 match up of 2 streaking teams the 12th ranked Ohio State Buckeyes host the 4th ranked Purdue Boilermakers. OSU has won 6 straight and Purdue has won 7 straight and the Buckeyes are in 2nd place in the Big 10 .5 of a game behind Michigan State and Purdue is in 3rd place only 1 game back of MSU.

Both teams will be invited to the Big Dance, but each is looking to finish the season strong so they can win the Big 12 and get a coveted #1 seed in the NCAA tournament.

This season Ohio State is 15-0 at home and 13-10 ATS and Purdue is 5-2 on the road and 11-11-1 ATS.

Purdue crushed Iowa 63-40 in their last game on Saturday and Ohio State also looked impressive beating Illinois 72-53 on Sunday.

Both teams have almost the exact same stats in terms of points scored and points allowed.

The Buckeyes have a solid backcourt with 2 guards and 2 G/F's averaging in double figures led by Player of the Year Candidate Evan Turner 19 ppg, 9.4 rpg and 6 assists a game.

Turner scored a career high 32 points and scored 14 of OSU's 18 points in the win at Purdue a little over a month ago. The Purdue D has to key on him and not allow him to have a big scoring game.

Purdue has a very well balanced offense with leading scorer E'Twaun Moore (17.3 ppg), F Robbie Hummel (16.1 ppg), and F/C JaJuan Johnson (14.9 ppg). Purdue has a better frontcourt than OSU and if they can win the battle of the boards and score easy buckets in the paint they have a great shot to win this game.

OSU has to play good inside defense and they also have to play good perimeter D on Hummel, who hit 8 3-pt bombs and scored 29 points in the loss to the Buckeyes earlier this season.

Hummel and Johnson are each averaging around 7 boards per game and Turner will have his hands full trying to keep these guys off the glass.

Purdue is 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games against teams with a winning record and has an Over record of 5-0 in their last 5 road games.

Ohio State is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games against teams with a winning percentage above 60%, 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games against teams with a winning road record, and has an Under record of 9-3 in their last 12 games as a favorite.

Purdue is 2-6-1 ATS in the last 9 games at Ohio State.

Our Selection : These teams met back on Jan 12th with the Buckeyes upsetting the Boilermakers 70-66 as a 9 point road dog. Tonight they're at home listed as a modest 3.5 favorite. They've won 9 of their last 10 games overall have yet to lose at home this season. So Ohio State is the play? Not so fast. The Buckeyes shot the lights out in West Lafayette, shooting 51%from the floor and 45.55% from behind the arc. Both those numbers are significantly higher than their average in Big Ten play. We don't see Ohio State matching those numbers again tonight. We see the revenge minded Boilermakers making amends for the loss with an outright win on the road. Take Purdue +3.5
