Odds to Win the NCAA Basketball Championship

Kansas (+175 at Sportsbook.com) have the lowest odds to win the NCAA Championship this season and they recently regained the #1 ranking in the country. The Jayhawks are on a 6-game winning streak after losing their 1st game of the season and their team is littered with future NBA players such as C Cole Aldrich, G Sherron Collins, and F Marcus Morris. Kansas is a solid team on both ends of the floor and they are outscoring opponents by an average of just over 22 ppg this season.

Syracuse (+400) is off to their best start in school history and they only have one loss in Big East play. The Orange have one of the best frontcourts in the nation with the forward duo of Wesley Johnson and Kris Joseph and C Arinze Onuaku. They also have 2 guards that are averaging around 10 ppg, so Cuse is a very well-balanced team.

Kentucky (+400) has a solid inside out duo of G John Wall and F DeMarcus Cousins, who are both Player of the Year candidates and will be lottery picks whenever they come out of college. The Wildcats have one of the more athletic teams in the nation and they are averaging just over 82 ppg this season.

Villanova (+1000) has one of the best backcourts in the nation and they have yet to lose in Big East play. The Wildcats can really score, as they lead the Big East averaging 85 ppg. Is their frontcourt solid enough to go all the way? That is the big question for Nova this season.

Michigan State (+1200) is leading the Big 10 by 2 games and they have a solid inside-outside game led by last year's conference player of the year G Kalin Lucas. Defense wins in the Big Dance and the Spartans have a great defensive team.

Texas (+1500) is a great team, but they have lost 3 of their last 4 games since becoming the top-ranked team in the country. Damion James is a Player of the Year candidate, but they have to stop the bleeding to get a high seed in the NCAA tournament.

Duke (+2000) has lost 2 of their last 4 games, but still lead the ACC. The Blue Devils have a great backcourt, as guards Jon Scheyer and Nolan Smith are both averaging over 18 ppg.

Georgetown (+2000) is ranked in the top 10 in the nation, but they are currently in 4th place in the Big East. The Hoyas can play defense, but they are averaging just under 70 ppg this season. For them to go all the way C Greg Monroe, who is almost averaging a double-double this season, has to dominate in the Big Dance on both ends of the floor.
