The Boise State Broncos kick off their 2010 season against their toughest opponent on this year's schedule the Virginia Tech Hokies. The Broncos went 14-0 and finished off their season with an impressive 17-10 win over TCU as a 7 point dog in the Fiesta Bowl. Boise State ended up 4th in the AP polls. The Hokies went 10-3 with a much tougher schedule capping their year off with a 35-14 win over Tennessee in the Chik-fil-A Bowl.

The Broncos offense should be revved up and going on all cylinders out of the gate since all of their starters are back except one. QB Kellen Moore threw for 3,536 yards with 39 TD and only 3 INT last season, the lowest TD to INT ratio in NCAA history. Boise St. ended up tied with Houston for the most points per game in the nation (42.2 ppg).

The Hokies have been led by their defense for the past several years but did lose 7 starters from last year's squad. Virginia Tech's still has a lot of young talent on the defense side of the ball and they will have come up with a huge game to slow down a very talented Broncos unit.

This game is being held at FedEx Field in Landover Maryland, a neutral site but Virginia Tech is not that far away, so they should have the home field advantage.

This is a huge game for both teams but probably even bigger for the Broncos. They need this game if they're going to have any chance at a BCS Bowl berth. This is the toughest game on their schedule and will need an impressive victory and run the table to have any chance at a National title.

Our Selection :Boise State opened up as a 2.5 favorite in this game but all the money has been on the Hokies who are now the 2 point betting choice. Thee Broncos just don't get any respect. All they do is win. We're going to go against the public here and take the Broncos and points. Take Boise State +2 at 5Dimes.
