On Saturday night in an SEC match up the 17th ranked Auburn Tigers (3-0) host the 12th ranked South Carolina Gamecocks (3-0). The Tigers are 1-0 in the SEC West and the Gamecocks are 1-0 in the SEC East. Both teams play a killer conference schedule and South Carolina faces top-ranked Alabama next week.

South Carolina is 3-0 for this first time since 2007.

The Gamecocks have the nation's 6th ranked rushing defense and they will be facing the Auburn rushing offense that ranks 12th in the nation.

In their last games Auburn beat Clemson 27-24 in OT and South Carolina beat Furman 38-19.

Heading into this SEC battle South Carolina is 2-1 ATS and Auburn is 1-2 ATS.

Even though both these teams are in the SEC they play in different divisions and they have not faced each other since 2006.

QB Cameron Newton leads the Tigers and while he had 203 yards and 2 TD in the win over Clemson he also had 2 INT's and he cannot turn the ball over in this game. The Tigers main weapon on offense is the RB duo of Michael Dyer and Onterio McCalebb. These guys will be facing a tough Gamecocks run defense in this game.

Newton may have a big game since the weakness of the Gamecocks is their secondary. The South Carolina pass defense ranks 101st in the nation and last week they gave up 274 yards to a weak Furman team.

The Gamecocks are led by duel-threat QB Stephen Garcia, who in the win over Furman passed for 150 yards with 2 TD and rushed for 28 yards. Like Auburn's QB Garcia also had 2 INT last week.

RB Marcus Lattimore leads South Carolina's 33rd ranked rushing offense and last week he had 97 yards with 1 TD. Auburn has the nation's 61st ranked offense and they are much like South Carolina, as they are weak against the pass and strong against the run.

Auburn is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games.

South Carolina is 5-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record and has an Under record of 5-1 in their last 6 SEC games.

Our Selection :The difference in this game will be the defense. The Gamecocks allowed 13 points to Southern Miss, 6 points to Georgia and 19 points to Furman playing in a game where they used many back-ups. Auburn on the other hand has given up an average of 21.3 per game. Take South Carolina +3 at 5Dimes.
