Well, the number one team in the nation fell yet again, as Missouri (7-0) knocked off Oklahoma and now to stay atop the Big 12 they will have to win a tough away game facing Nebraska (6-1). This game is vital for each team and this is also the last game for each facing a team that is currently ranked in the top 25 in the nation. The winner of this game will be in the driver's seat to win the Big 12 North and play in the conference title game.

The last time these 2 teams played in Nebraska the Tigers laid a beat down on the Huskers winning 52-17.

Betting on Missouri this season has been a winning proposition since they are 5-2 ATS. However, in the last 4 games between these 2 teams the favorite is 4-0 ATS and in the last 8 meetings the home team is 6-2 ATS.

This season Nebraska is 3-3-1 ATS.

In their last games Missouri beat top-ranked Oklahoma 36-27 and Nebraska beat Oklahoma State 51-41.

Nebraska did win last week, but they have up 495 yards (283 passing 212 rushing) to Oklahoma State. This week they face another strong passing offense, as Mizzou ranks 16th in the nation in passing yards per game led by QB Blaine Gabbert, who threw for 322 yards with 1 TD against Oklahoma last week. While the Tigers only rank 79th in the nation in rushing yards per game they racked up 178 yards on the ground last week. They may have to run the ball more in this game since the Huskers are much stronger defending the run than the pass, where they have the nation's 3rd ranked passing defense.

Missouri and their 38th ranked defense has one goal in this game and that is to try to contain Nebraska star QB Taylor Martinez, who was stellar last week passing for 323 yards with 5 TD and rushing for 112 yards. He is a great duel threat QB with a few solid targets and Mizzou has their work cut out for them in this game.

The Tigers gave up 303 passing yards last week in the win over Oklahoma and if Martinez has a big game in their air the Mizzou offense will have to turn this game into a shootout to pull off the upset win.

In some other betting trends for this game:

Missouri is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games against teams with a winning record and has an Under record of 10-3 in their last 13 games against teams with a winning record.

Nebraska is 11-5 ATS in their last 16 games against teams with a winning record and has an Over record of 5-2 in their last 7 games.

Our Selection : Normally we would look for a letdown the following game after a team knocks of the number 1 ranked team in the nation. However, the Tigers have been winning with solid defense which is something that the Cornhuskers have lacked this season. They held the Sooners to a season low 27 points last week and should be able to slow down Nebraska's high powered offense this week. We're going to side with the unbeaten team with the better defense getting more than a TD.
Take Missouri +7.5 at Bodog.
